A temporary park designed to create a space for people and wildlife in the city centre.
The parklet is designed to celebrate the county’s rich ecology and features stylised habitats including sand dunes, cliffs, hedgerows and calcareous grassland. Many of the plants were sourced locally and some are very specific to Swansea’s microclimate. The current site is a regeneration site, so the parklet is designed to be relocated. The planters were funded by the Welsh Governments Local Places for Nature Challenge fund, and the bus shelters by Natural Resources Wales’ Swansea Bay Opportunity Catchment funding.
