A green corridor along Pier Street creating connectivity between greenspaces in the Maritime Quarter.
It includes a green roof, and living wall on the building and planters, insect habitat and sculpture and a rain pond along Pier Street. All designed with wildlife friendly features that offer year-round shelter and food for wildlife and to support pollinators. The rain pond, and overflow rain planters ‘slow the flow’ of water by capturing and using rainwater from the Centre’s roof. Funded by the Welsh Government’s Local Places for Nature grant. The Environment Centre is open to the public.
