A semi-intensive green roof on Beacon Cymru’s Urban Village building on Swansea’s High Street.

Designed to bring coastal habitat into the city the green roof is a good example of creating a city centre space for people and nature. The green roof includes planted sections and outdoor space which can be used for coffee and lunch breaks as well as outdoor meetings. The project was funded by the Welsh Government’s Transforming Towns Green Infrastructure Grant. Beacon Cymru’s offices at Urban Village are not open to the public.
